People travel, just take a highway, go to an airport, to realize how, by now, the concept of physical space dedicated to life has shifted how and what moves people. There is a kind of “macroluogo” which includes all of these spaces of the world where people come and, so often, leave again. Thinking architecture today means to investigate and review the very concept of space because, if it’s true that we often talk about the house concept, it is also true that the house is no longer the only place where people live. So many people now live spaces once were not places and called passages. Architecture still stands, before the project, identification of values and how these must be declined in those places where people spend their time, resting places, relaxing places, hotels, restaurants, shopping center, lounge, spa and every place where life stops.
Once the pages of a book emphasized the difference between people and community, identifying the community as a special part of the people, as if to claim a different interpretation, a kind of detailed research of a value to be given to every single person; architecture is the context, space is the detail, the place is the value. We are seeing more and more a kind of translation of the established places that generates expectations of quality and comfort that were once identified only inside the house. The most obvious fact is the cross meaning that the concept of wellness is taking that now find his declination everywhere, as if to mean that, where a body relaxes, meets with other bodies and has a physical approach with any object, it must be the place overall of mind and thought.
People travel, suitcases are becoming increasingly small, everything that is not in the suitcase must be in the place of destination.
